TIMERGARA, Aug 1: Thirty-two shops and cabins were reduced to ashes when fire broke out in one of the shops at the Timergara general bus stand the other day.

The fire started in a tea house in the middle portion of the bus terminal that later spread to a vast area and as a result 17 shops and cabins on one side and 15 on the other were gutted in no time.

The Timergara police told local journalists that the shops and cabins were owned by the tehsil municipal administration Timergara.

Fire Brigade staff with the support of local residents and humanitarian organisations controlled the flames after two-and-a-half-hour effort.

The owners complained that despite loss worth millions of rupees none of the government officials had visited the site till filing of this story. —Correspondent
