QUETTA, July 31: At least 10 people, among them two women, were killed and 30 others injured when a bus and a truck collided in Aab-i-Gum area of Bolan district on Tuesday.

Levies Force officials said the bus was going to Quetta from Larkana and the truck was coming from the opposite direction when the accident took place.

Bolan Deputy Commissioner Mir Aslam Raisani along with Levies and rescue personnel reached the scene of the accident and took the bodies and the injured to hospital.

The condition of four of the injured people is said to be serious.

The deceased were identified as truck driver Sher Mohammad, bus driver Mohammad Rafiq, Imdad Ali, Liaquat Ali, Zam Bibi, Mohammad Qasim, Shahnawaz and Inayat. The identity of two of them could not be ascertained till the filing of this report.

According to the officials, most of the victims belonged to Sukkur, Jacobabad and Larkana districts of Sindh.—Staff Correspondent
