Officials told to change attitude

CHITRAL, Dec 19: MMA MNA from Chitral Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali has asked the government officers to change their attitudes to bring about a tangible change in the governance under the MMA in the province.

Addressing the district heads of offices of all the government departments and the NGOs here on Tuesday, he said that no laxity, corruption and mismanagement will be tolerated in future.

The people of the province have reposed trust in the MMA for a change, so the government functionaries should rise to the occasion by working with dedication and integrity.

The days of the corrupt elements have been numbered and only the efficient and honest persons will be allowed in their offices, he added.

No one will be victimized on political grounds and all appointments and transfers will be made solely on merit, the MMA leader promised.

He said very possible security will be extended to the honest officers.

He said that MMA was never against the working of women but it sought a separate and congenial atmosphere for the women workers in the offices.

He expressed his displeasure at the way some NGOs were “polluting the society” by promoting free mixing of men and women.

He warned that, in future, strict action would be taken against the NGOs found involved in such acts.

Prior to this, the district heads of different provincial and central departments briefed the MNA about the working of their respective departments in the district.
