Furthermore nothing can be said about Amir's prospects until he's moved up to the 147lbs division as he meant to. Amir made a mega mistake by getting trapped in trading shots with Garcia. My belief (as most professional fighters will agree) is that Amir still has the fastest - though not the strongest - hands in the business. He should utilize his speed as his main skill everytime and he'll be back in his old rhythm soon enough. His future still holds the prospect of fights with the likes of Tim Bradley and Floyd Mayweather (Floyd has himself indicated that he's watching Khan), and maybe even a comeback fight of Ricky Hatton. That's a nice bunch of interesting possibilities that would earn him another few tens of millions.

Firstly, I think its a good idea to give the amateaurs a chance to break through. Its better to do it this way as it helps the sport, however it might mean that every fighter gets a fair crack at each opponent so stops cherry picking ! I dont think Amir should be Jealous of the Olympians ! I think it should be the other way around and that Olympians should aspire to be more Like Amir Khan rising to stardom post his Olympic tournament. I'm pro Amir Khan and have been from day one, cant wait for him to take the title back, its just a matter of time and being patient now ! Amir's dedication to what he does is really inspriring ! Come on Khan, get back into the Gym and train cleverly and win back the title for yourself and Great Britain ! Although Khan may have lost against Garcia, Khan will come back to win the title beacuse he has the right 'attitude' and 'skill' to do it.

What so special about London Olympics that Beijing did not had. Amir wanted to make money so he went for professional . Now, he has started to loose at professional level, he wants to come back to amateur level. Too late.

Khans days are numbered. He has been pretty badly exposed in his recent fights. The guy can't take punches. May be he cann fight the plastic champions in UK and stay on top but in U.S its a whole diffrent ballgame and He isnt cut out for it.

It's up to the governing bodies of each individual sport to determine who is eligible. So there are bound to be inequities. So in plain English, Vaikom, it is up to the body that governs boxing - nothing to do with the Olympic committee.
