KARACHI, July 19: The Ramazan moon was sighted in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and Kuwait on Thursday and the month of fasting begins in these countries today.

But the moon was not sighted in Oman and Ramazan will begin in the country on Saturday.

In Pakistan, a meeting of the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee will be held in Karachi on Friday, chairman of the committee Mufti Munibur Rehman said.
