KARACHI, Dec 17: Half-centuries by Mujeeb Alam and Shehrayar Ghani helped National Gymkhana’s to seven-run victory over Larosh CC in the final of Larosh Trophy tournament on Monday.

Mujeeb hit 68 off 56 balls with six fours and two fours and Shehrayar also made 68 (53 balls, three sixes and three fours) as National Gymkhana scored 244 all out in 35 overs.

Larosh CC, in reply, reached 237 for nine at the end of their stipulated 35 overs. Irfan Mushtaq (four fours, two sixes) and Nazeer Shaikh (three fours, two sixes) were joint top-scorers with 55 apiece while Imran Umar contributed 43.

Shahzad Shamim, who made 34 and took three for 53, was declared Man-of-the-Match.
