Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said on Tuesday that Baloch people are patriotic. People who are destroying the peace of the province are doing it with the ‘external support’, DawnNews reported.

The prime minister said that extremism and sectarianism are another angles of the Balochistan issue.

Addressing a seminar at the National Defence University, PM Ashraf said that federal government was aware of the issues of the province and the sense of deprivation in the Baloch people.

The government and people will solve the problems of Balochistan with the mutual cooperation, the PM said.

Director General military operation, Major General Ashfaq Nadeem said that there was no operation going on in Balochistan.

“We are not against a political solution of the province,” Major General Nadeem said.

He said that the militants enter in the province from Afghanistan and South Waziristan.
