Jurassic Park 4

The three Jurassic Park movies are among my all-time favourites and I hope it was so for many of you too. So here is the big news; Universal Pictures has hired Rise of the Planet of the Apes writers Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver to write a script for Jurassic Park 4!

The movie is to be produced by Steven Spielberg along side Kathleen Kennedy, but he will not be directing it this time around. It’s said that the movie is going to be unlike anything you’ve seen and will break away from the first three — it’s essentially the beginning of the second Jurassic Park trilogy; but going to be done in a completely different way.

Spray-on battery

Can you charge anything by spray-painting battery on it? Yes, now you can! Batteries can be now painted. Recently, batteries that can be spray-painted on just about any surface were unveiled by US researchers.

In an experiment, the team sprayed batteries on to nine bathroom tiles which they connected to each other. One of the tiles had a solar cell attached to it, which was charged using a white laboratory light.

Once charged and connected, the tiles “delivered enough energy to power 40 red LEDs (light-emitting diodes) for more than six hours,” said the team’s report in the journal Nature Scientific Reports — a steady 2.4 volts.

“Basically, using this approach, we can convert any object or surface to a battery,” said lead author Neelam Singh, an engineering student at Rice University in Texas.

This kind of battery is light, has a high power output and storage capacity, and is safer as compared to other rechargeable battery.

Need for Speed

The famous game franchise – Need for Speed is set to be made movie and is officially announced to come in theatres in 2014. This is a joint venture of Paramount-owned Dream Works and Electronic Arts; the script is penned by George Gatin, the brother of Real Steel screenwriter, John Gatin.

It is said that the movie focuses on all parts of the series. NFS is famous for its bright coloured, hot cars, and racing fast — the features that make fans glued to their computer screens.

Frank Gibeau, the president of EA Labels is quite thrilled to be in business with Steven Spielberg and the entire Dream Works team.

Sindy gets a new look

The doll which took over the hearts of kids before Barbie, was Sindy! The UK made doll first appeared wearing jeans with stripy top and big blue eyes which were the main attraction for children back in 60s. The doll had British facial features and was quite innocent as compared to her glamorous and trendy American rival, Barbie.

But after Barbie, Sindy went through her tough times in 70s and in 80s. Gradually, Sindy lost her fans and almost vanished from the scene. However, recently Pedigree Toys has announced the relaunch of Sindy with a new look on her 50th birthday. The new Sindy will retain the familiar big blue eyes, with eye lashes to have added extensions, purple hair and leg warmers.

It is said that each Sindy doll will retail for £15.
