KARACHI: 23 vehicles hijacked

KARACHI, Dec 16: Twenty-three vehicles — six cars and 17 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Monday, police said.

Three cars were hijacked. Three others were stolen.

Seven motorcycles were hijacked. Ten others were stolen.

Police also claimed on Monday to have recovered eight vehicles.

ROBBERIES: Three men were robbed of their mobile phones sets in the city on Monday.

Ali Jan lodged a complaint at Brigade police station that two armed men robbed him of his mobile phone near his house.

Ghulam Akbar lodged a complaint at the area police station that armed men took away his mobile phone near the Nazimabad Chowrangi No 1 at gunpoint.

Armed men robbed Mohammed Ali of his mobile phone set in Burnes Road.

Bandits shot and wounded a vegetable seller and his son in Garden early Monday morning.
