ISLAMABAD, July 10: The capital police arrested 16 outlaws, including four proclaimed offenders, and recovered stolen valuables from their possession.

A police spokesman said the Banigala police recovered a 30-bore pistol and five cans of beer from the possession of a man at Rawal Dam Chowk and arrested him.

The Shahzad Town police during investigation of a theft case arrested two persons and recovered valuables worth Rs30,000 from them. The police also arrested two alleged thieves and claimed to have recovered cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth Rs350,000 from them.

Meanwhile, four proclaimed offenders were also arrested. The Industrial Area and Shahzad Town police during search operation arrested four and two suspects, respectively, on their failure to prove their identification.

Separate cases were registered against the arrested persons and further investigations are in progress.
