GHALANAI, July 4: Extension of Political Parties Act to Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) is a big achievement of ruling Pakistan People’s Party, which has always rendered sacrifices for promotion of democracy.

This was stated by Mohmand Agency PPP president Farooq Afzal and Fata vice-president Jangriz Khan at a press conference here on Wednesday. They claimed that the PPP had taken a number of steps for development of tribal region.

They said that tribesmen considered the PPP their main political platform and that was why they were joining it in large numbers.

On this occasion, local JUI-F leader Malik Jan Wali joined the PPP Mohmand Agency chapter along with his family and friends.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Wali said that he remained associated with the JUI-F for 12 years and now he was joining the PPP to serve people of his area in a better way.
