Sindh MPAs form Patriot

Published December 15, 2002

KARACHI, Dec 14: The People’s Party Patriot was formally launched here at the residence of the GNA’s nominee for the chief minister’s slot in Sindh, Ali Mohammad Mahar.

Three MPAs of the People’s Party Parliamentarians, vis Mahboob Bijarani, Manzoor Panwhar and Naseer Khoso, who had held a long discussion with interior minister Faisal Saleh Hayat later on Friday night, announced the formation of the Patriot in the province.

Deploring the development, Parliamentarians chief Makhdoom Amin Fahim said it is shameless and active horse trading by the regime.

It is the worst kind of coercion and immoral method adopted by the government which pretends to be the custodians of democratic values and rule of law. But such developments have proved that the claims were baseless, he said adding that the regime had no moral authority.

He said disciplinary action would be taken against those responsible for the betrayal of their electorate and the party.
