RAWALPINDI, June 23: With the connivance of Food Department, sale of unhygienic food is on rise in Cantonment Board area, posing health hazard to the citizens.

Despite having extra authority of Licenses and Professional Tax, food Inspectors and Cantt Board health department failed to ensure check and balance system in the area.

Traders and shopkeepers involved in this business are free to sale their sub standard eatable on high rates without displaying the rate list as the food department is getting bribe from them and allow them to flourish their illegal business under the umbrella of the department.

Following the rise of this business, residents of the area are forced to visit hospitals as they are facing several abdominal diseases.

Stray dogs: Residents of posh sector of the Federal Capital F-10/2 have expressed grave concerns over the increasing number stray dogs, which are sparking harassment amongst the residents of area.

Herds of stray dogs are roaming freely in the area while the authority concerns are yet to launch stray dogs hunting drive to save the inhabitants from dog biting incidents.—Online
