HYDERABAD, Dec 14: A group of the villagers of Korey-ja-Bhan, Naushahro Feroze taluka, staged a demonstration outside the press club here on Friday against the alleged excesses of landlord Imam Ali Bhurt.

Talking to newsmen, Faqir Mohammad Solangi and others alleged that Bhurt was trying to take over the possession of their agricultural land as well as the possession Eidgah and the mosque of the area.

They alleged that he was harassing the villagers through a gang of bandits, led by Haroon Bhurt.

They further alleged that Bhurt and the members of his family had already occupied 5,000 acres of state land, for which the cases were pending in the courts.

They appealed to the Nazim, the DCO and the DPO, Naushahro Feroze district, to stop Bhurt from taking over the possession of their land, the Eidgah and the mosque and to arrest Haroon and the members of his gang.
