ISLAMABAD, June 22: President Asif Ali Zardari administered oath to newly-elected Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf at the Presidency on Friday.

He also swore in a 38-member federal cabinet, comprising 27 ministers and 11 ministers of state.

Senate Chairman Nayyar Hussain Bokhari, National Assembly Speaker Dr Fehmida Mirza, former prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Barrister Masood Kausar, Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti, AJK President Sardar Muhammad Yaqub Khan, Prime Minister Abdul Majeed Chaudhry, Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Mehdi Shah, MNAs, Senators, Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, services chiefs, diplomats and senior government officials attended the oath-taking ceremony at the Presidency.

Those who took oath as federal ministers were Makhdoom Amin Faheem, Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Nazar Mohammad Gondal, Haji Khuda Bakhsh Rajar, Dr Farooq Sattar, Senator Maula Bakhsh Chandio, Mian Manzoor Wattoo, Mir Changez Khan Jamali, Syed Khursheed Shah, Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, Babar Khan Ghori, Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour, Mir Israrullah Zehri, Farooq H. Naek, Dr Arbab Alamgir Khan, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi (senior minister), Makhdoom Shahabuddin, Syed Naveed Qamar, Farzana Raja, Shaukat Ullah, Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, Rana Mohammad Farooq Saeed Khan, Sameena Khalid Ghurki, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, Hina Rabbani Khar and Sardar Omar Gorgeig.

Those who took oath as state ministers were Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, Muazzam Ali Jatoi, Malik Azmat Khan, Syed Samsam Ali Bukhari, Tasneem Ahmed Qureshi, Dr Nadeem Ahsan, Nawabzada Malik Ammad Khan, Abbas Khan Afridi, Chaudhry Imtiaz Safdar Warraich, Dost Mohammad Mazari and Raheela Baloch.—APP
