LAHORE:  Pakistan’s U-22 football team outclassed Al-Hala Football Club of Bahrain 3-1 in its second match at Muharraq Stadium, Bahrain.

Pakistan outshone their opponents in every aspect. Midway through the first half Mohammad missed a chance to secure the first goal, however, in the 42nd minute he made up for the lost opportunity and converted a pass by Sher Mohammad into the opening goal of the match.

In the 58th minute, Mohammad reciprocated by giving a pass to Sher Mohammad who converted it into Pakistan’s second goal.

In the 60th minute, Rashid Ali lost the opportunity to secure the third goal, however, in the 73rd minute Faisal Iqbal created a scoring sitter by giving a pass to Rashid Ali who took full benefit of it.

In the 75th minute, Khalid of Hala FC exhibited a solo effort to pull one back for his team.

Pakistan is in Bahrain to prepare for the upcoming Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-22 Championship qualifiers in Saudi Arabia from June 23.

Pakistan is placed in Group B of the AFC Under-22 Championship qualifiers, along with Syria, Kyrgyzstan, Palestine and Sri Lanka.

Pakistan is leaving for Riyadh to take part in the AFC U-22 Championship Qualifier Round, Group B to be held from June 23 to July 3.
