LAHORE, June 20: Two people suffered burns in a cylinder blast on Wednesday. Also, four fire incidents were reported in different parts of the city on Wednesday.

A fire broke out following a cylinder blast in a shop at Mozang Adda, burning down valuables and injuring the owner and his employee.

Rescue 1122 officials said Yousaf and his employee, Yasir, suffered burns. The explosion also led fire in the shop which also engulfed an adjacent shop.

The injured were admitted to Mayo Hospital.

Another fire broke out in a portion of Gymkhana Club on The Mall, burning down some valuables.

The Racecourse SHO said the blaze erupted in the gas pipe of the kitchen which was overcome by the staff themselves.

Two houses and a shop also caught fire in Green Town, Sanda and Old Anarkali. Rescue 1122 controlled the fire.

KILLED: A man in his 60s was found slain in his home in Sui Gas Colony on Wednesday.

Naulakha police said Badaruz Zaman was found dead with his throat slit open. His nephew, Abdul Malik, alerted the police.

BODY FOUND: Burki police found the body of a man in his 50s in the BRB Canal and shifted it to Mayo Hospital’s morgue for autopsy.

DROWNS: A 16-year-old boy drowned in Bara Sua near Purana Kahna village on Wednesday.

Rescue 1122 divers fished out the body after four hours. — Staff Reporter
