LAHORE: The Pakistan Hockey Federation has decided to recall experienced goalkeeper Salman Akbar to the national team’s training camp which is being held at Abbottabad to finalise the team for the upcoming London Olympics, scheduled for July 27 to August 12.

Sources told Dawn that head coach Akhtar Rasool isn’t satisfied with the performances of the goalkeeper Imran Shah in the Azlan Shah Cup and in tour of Europe where he conceded soft goals from unforced errors.

Salman has therefore been called up to the national team camp which starts from July 26.—Sports Reporter
