ISLAMABAD, June 18: The Pakistan Tobacco Board discussed fixing of tobacco prices at its meeting here on Monday during which the Ministry of Commerce assured tobacco growers that it would notify prices of tobacco crop for 2012 in full consultation with all stakeholders.

All issues of stakeholders would be resolved and fixation of prices would be decided only after taking them on board, the ministry told the meeting of tobacco board.

The board discussed fixation of tobacco prices and issues of tobacco industry.

Minister of State for Commerce Abbas Khan Afridi chaired the meeting.

Representatives from tobacco companies, tobacco growers and dealers attended the board meeting.
