It was thoughtful of Reema to have her valima reception in Lahore. Ever since she got hitched to Dr Tariq Shahab she had gone under the radar, understandably so. Heartiest congratulations to the new couple.

Having said this, when it was announced that dreamy Reems would be having the reception in Pakistan, there was an air of expectation around the whole thing. Everybody thought it would be a big do and the entire film industry and a good chunk of television fraternity would be there. Not to be.

If TV cameras are anything to go by, only Mr and Mrs Momy Rana and Mr and Mrs John Rambo (Afzal Khan and Sahiba) from the film business attended the ceremony, which turned out pretty understated in terms of glitterati attendance. Hmm… Meera, Resham, Laila, Sana, Saima, Syed Noor, Shaan, Saud and Babar Ali, etc, probably have had to attend too many wedding functions this season. On the other hand, Reema is quite love mein ghum.

Merging for what?

Merging for what?

The concern is that if the government is thinking of cutting costs through the merger, we might even lose the functionality levels we currently have.
