KARACHI, June 1: The Difa-e-Pakistan Council said on Friday that the United States was defeated in Afghanistan where its allies, including France, Italy, Greece and Germany, had withdrawn from active participation after collapse of their economy.

Speakers at a rally organised by the DPC outside the Karachi Press Club also said that the US would soon meet its waterloo in Afghanistan where earlier now former Soviet Union was disintegrated following a war. The rally was staged in protest against a possible government move to restore supplies to the US and Nato forces in Afghanistan.

Leaders of different political parties spoke at the rally and demanded that the activities of US missions in Pakistan should be restricted.—Staff Reporter
