RAWALPINDI, May 29: Two sisters in a complaint to the police have alleged that they had been tortured and ‘sexually assaulted’ by their brothers.

The women alleged they had been the victim of their brothers’ assaults since their father died some 20 years back.

They also alleged that the brothers had the support of their mother.

The sisters in their complaint said in 2008 they had left their house but landed in Pirwadhai police station where they narrated their ordeal to the police and sought their help.

Raja Shakeel, the then Pirwadhai SHO, confirmed that the two sisters had come to the police station and lodged a written complaint with the police. On their request they were sent to Darul Aman.

However, their brothers got a kidnapping case registered with the Jatli police, but later they approached them in Darul Aman.

On their assurance that they would not torture them in future, they returned home but their brothers did not mend their ways.

Following their complaint, the Jatli police registered an FIR on the charges of rape and hurling threats of killing.

When the Jatli police was contacted they said police were trying to arrest the accused.
