MADRID: Chelsea's Spanish striker Fernando Torres has said he has had the worst moments of his career with the club this season and needs clarity about his future role with the newly-crowned European champions.

Torres told Spanish sports daily As he had been bitterly disappointed at being left out of the starting lineup for Saturday's Champions League final and said if it had not been for the support of the fans during a difficult campaign he would have “thrown in the towel”.

“This season I have felt things that I had never felt before,” Torres was quoted as saying.

“I felt that they treated me in a way that I was not expecting, not in the way we spoke about when this club signed me,” added the former Liverpool player.

“We have had a lot of conversations and at the end of the season we will talk to see what happens with my future because what I have experienced this year is not a role for me, the one I thought I would have when I came, I am not happy,” he said.

“A victory like the one in Munich provides some compensation but I want them to tell me what is going to happen in the future.

“Right now yes I do feel that football is worth all the effort but I have had very bad moments. The worst of my career. And I don't want to have them again.”

He should not blame his worst games at Chelsea on Chelsea management! -_- worst player and he only proved it, rather did not even prove his worth on the eve of their win against barcelona because it was a one on one.. considering he missed an epic one on one against Manu this season, yeah he miraculously figured to put the ball in the net!. I still think he himself is to blame for not having been played all of the season, and should stop making a rant about it in the end! Just another cry baby!..

It took him 900+ minutes to score a goal after his move to Chelsea from Liverpool, and then we had Henry coming back on loan from New York RedBulls and he scores in his first 9 minutes! Torres himself is to blame for his actions fairly.

He had some tough time in Chelsea as lack of self-confidence. AVB didn't gave much changes to Torres in starting line-up which further frustrated him I guess that was the reason of his goal draught. Since Di matteo took charge he gave many opportunities to Torres but I have no idea why he was put on benches against Munich, besides he wasn't given a chance for penalty shoot-out as well but instead of him Di matteo brought Cole and Luiz. He is a great asset, blues must not waste him. AND RDM SHALL REMAIN MANAGER.

Maybe he should start off by thanking Chelsea for still having him on the bench while he was playing rubbish for the amjority of his move. Alex Fergusson would have long given him the boot. Who in that team does he believe he derserved to replace from the start of the final. Just be thankful that the the team pulled your weight!!!!!!

Chelsea always held torres as a secondary weapon & torres should accept this as his future role. its not about what you think your role shouid be rather your role is what your club decides. & with drogba going out, i am sure his roles will be redefined
