Karachi Eaglets in final

KARACHI, Dec 11: Karachi Eaglets qualified for the final of the Sixth Nehal Siddiqui Ramazan colour kit cricket festival, beating Airport Stars by one wicket.

Opting to bat first Airport Stars were bowled out for 137 in their 20 allotted overs with Safdar Hussain (34) and Tahir Rasheed (25), among the runs. Khurram Abbas two for 18, M. Waheed two for 22 and Anwar Rasheed two for 32, picked up the wickets.

Thanks to an unbeaten 30 by the Man of the Match Mahmood Khan, Karachi Eaglets reached the winning target of 138 for nine wickets off the very last delivery of the match.

Sajjad Hassan (26) and Asim Cheema (20), also made useful contributions with Burhan Butt two for 22, Arif Muneer two for 24 and Naveed Khan two for 34, unlucky to finish off on the losing side.
