ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, while hearing the case pertaining to law and order situation in Balochistan and the ‘missing persons’ issue, said that if Inspector General of Frontier Corps Balochistan Obaidullah Khattak fails to appear in front of the apex court by Friday evening then action would be taken against him, DawnNews reported.
A three-member bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar, was hearing the case.
During the hearing, the chief justice expressed displeasure over Khattak’s absence.
The deputy inspector general (DIG) of police told the apex court that ‘missing persons’ were taken away in a FC vehicle in front of a private hotel. The footage of it could be seen on a closed circuit television (CCTV) camera, he added.
The chief justice said kidnappings by the FC were bringing disgrace on the country.
