No papers submitted for bypolls

LAHORE, Dec 10: No candidate submitted papers for the byelections, being held in two Lahore constituencies, before the returning officers on Tuesday, the first day of filing nominations.

Nomination papers can be filed by Dec 14 for the PP-142 and 147.

LBA NOTICE: The Lahore Bar Association issued notices to its 1,000 members on Tuesday for the payment of membership dues. In a notice issued by the LBA president, the defaulters have been asked to clear their dues by Dec 16. Otherwise, they would not cast vote in the annual LBA elections scheduled for Jan 10.

WINTER VACATION: The Lahore High Court notified on Tuesday that the week-long winter vacation for the judges working at the sessions and civil courts would start from Dec 23.
