KARACHI, May 5: Three people were killed in separate incidents of firing in the city on Saturday night, police said.

A young man said to be in his 20s was killed near Metro Cinema in Orangi Town. According to the police sources, Farman Ali was attacked by gunmen on a motorcycle when he was returning home from work.

Another young man was shot dead in Aligarh Colony. Identified as Saleem, the victim was a resident of Rexer Line and had come to the area to meet someone.

The bodies were taken to the Abbassi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

DSP Tariq Malik said the motive and identity of those behind the attacks remained unclear.

The relatives of both men said they did not have association with any political or religious party.

In Sohrab Goth area, a teenage boy was shot dead outside his apartment.

Police said armed men riding a motorcycle attacked Javed Khan, 19, when he was standing outside Maymar Complex close to the Super Highway.

The victim hailed from Peshawar and worked as an auto mechanic.
