LAHORE, April 30: Valuables worth Rs12.5 million were reduced to ashes when fires broke out in a department store and a dry clean shop in the city on Monday.

The department store owned by Maqsood Sadiq caught fire in H-Block Market of Valencia Town, burning down valuables worth Rs7.5 million.

The other fire erupted in dry clean shop owned by Manzar Abbas near Sadar Roundabout, reducing to ashes valuables worth Rs5 million.

Valuables worth Rs25,000 were reduced to ashes when another fire broke out in garments shop owned by Kamran Maqbool near Babo Hotel Chowk in Lunda Bazar.Firefighters of the Rescue-1122 controlled the blazes with hectic effort.
