LARKANA, Dec 9: The Muttahida Majlis-I-Amal (MMA) is awaiting to hear from political parties which had entered into dialogues with it regarding formation of a government in Sindh, president of the MMA Sindh Assadullah Bhutto said here the other day.

Speaking at a reception, the MMA leader said that the party had fielded its demands, including implementation of the 1991 water apportionment accord in letter and spirit, before all the political parties.

But, he said, instead of negotiating some people had flown to Dubai while some had gone to Islamabad for getting clearance.

Assadullah Bhutto said that the MMA had not yet received a positive response from any of the political party in this regard.

Criticizing the three-year-long military rule, he accused the government of having taken unconstitutional steps besides blaming it of unilaterally amending the Constitution, saying that it had harmed the system in the country.

He said that an individual had no right to amend the Constitution as the right to amend solely rested with the parliament. Parliament, he added, was the only supreme body.

He said that he stood for the restoration of 1973 Constitution in its originality.
