NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, April 23: A policeman killed his 15-year-old daughter for refusing to marry a man older than her in Jalal Tagar village near Mithiani late on Sunday evening.

Police constable Dodo Khan Tagar was infuriated when his daughter Amnat refused to marry the man of his choice and tribe who was older than her.

In a rage he thrashed her on Friday and then on Saturday night but she did not agree. On Sunday, Dodo Khan shot her dead.

In-charge DSP confirmed the incident and said the weapon of offence had been recovered and the accused arrested.

Mithiani SHO Ghulam Shabbir said that after killing her, the accused reached a gambling den in the village and started playing in a bid to give an impression nothing had happened.

But a six-year-old sister of Amnat told police that her father had shot dead Ms Amnat.
