RAWALPINDI, April 15: The recovery of 10kg heroin from the toilet of international departure lounge at Benazir Bhutto International Airport led to the arrest of two passengers of Qatar Airways flight, a sweeper and a loader on Sunday.

According to airport sources, access to the international departure lounge without security check at the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) counter, customs and Airport Security Force (ASF) scanners was impossible. It remained a question how the heroin was taken to the lounge.

The Qatar Airways flight QR-399 from Islamabad to Doha was about to take off at 4:45am when it was stopped and two passengers (M.A.) and (A.M.), residents of Rawalpindi, were offloaded on the disclosure of sweeper (P.M.) and loader (J.I.). Despite repeated attempts, none of the ANF officials was available for comments.
