Afghan official due on Wednesday

ISLAMABAD, Dec 8: The Afghan Minister for Refugees and Repatriation is scheduled to visit Islamabad and Peshawar from Dec 10 to 14.

A meeting, presided over by Muhammad Javed Ashraf Hussain, Secretary, Kana & Safron, finalized the programme for the official visit of the Afghan minister.

During the visit, the he would meet the interior minister, the minister and officials of Kana & Safron.

The Afghan minister would be in Peshawar on Dec 11 where he would meet the chief minister, NWFP and also the UNHCR officials.

On Dec 12, he will have meetings with the Loya Jirga of Afghan Refugees and governor as well.

On Dec 13, the minister would visit Shamshatoo camp.

The meeting, held on Nov 25, was attended by the officials including Gulzar Khan, Additional Secretary, Kana & Safron, Syed Asif Shah, Chief Commissioner for Afghan Refugees, Hasim Utkan, UNHCR Representative in Pakistan, Muhammad Jamil, Joint Secretary, Kana & Safron and Elizabeth, Executive Secretary to Hasim Utkan.—APP
