Bandits kill two

HARIPUR, Dec 8: A man and a child were killed and four others injured by bandits on Chappar Road near village Chakhai, some 35km from here, on Saturday evening.

According to the victim families, Hayatullah, Faraz, Aziz-ur-Rehman, Sher-ur-Rehman and his minor son, Yasir, were on their way home to Chakhi village on their Toyota pick-up when armed bandits intercepted them.

When the driver tried to accelerate the speed, the armed bandits opened indiscriminate fire on them. As a result, Aziz-ur-Rehman died on the spot, while five others received bullet injuries.

All the injured were rushed to a local hospital, where Yasir succumbed to his injuries.
