GUJRANWALA, Dec 5: Robbers looted two houses, passengers of two commuter buses and a motorcycle rickshaw, and took away two cars in seven strikes on Thursday.
Three robbers forced their entry into the house of trader Muhammad Sharif in Talib Park, Garjakh. They escaped with Rs300,000 in cash, prize bonds worth Rs200,000, gold jewellery and other valuables. They locked the house from outside before fleeing.
Five gunmen entered the house of Barkat Ali in Verpal Chattha village by scaling boundary wall. They locked the family in a room and escaped with Rs120,000 in cash, gold jewellery weighing 20 tolas, wrist watches and other valuables.
Six highwaymen intercepted two commuter buses and a motorcycle rickshaw on Naushera Virkan Road and Sheikhupura Road during Sehri. They snatched cash, gold jewellery and wrist watches from the passengers at gunpoint worth Rs500,000.
Four gunmen riding a car without number plate drove away with the car (ID-1060) of Saifur Rehman on the GT Road near Ghakkhar when he was on his way to Lahore from Rawalpindi.
Four people hired the taxi car of Yousaf from Ghakkhar stand. They took away his car.
