Earth hour Pakistan

Earth Hour takes place worldwide on the last Saturday of March at 8.30 pm local times, and is a global call to turn off lights for 60 minutes in a bid to highlight the global climate change. Since it began in Sydney in 2007, Earth Hour has grown to become what environmental group WWF says is the world's largest demonstration of support for action on carbon pollution. I agree with Kamran. This so called earth hour is all about, rich people gathering to "tickle" each other. We observe earth hour 14 times each day. BOOO HOOOO.....

Pakistan has been observing this Earth Hour on daily basis and not just 60 minutes but 20 - 22 hours per day for the last four years. The name is different though.

We dont have to switch off lights for 1 hours our electricity board is doing this job for 10-20 hours every day by power cut :(

While I appreciate the concept of Earth Hour, it is very irrelevant to celebrate in the country like Pakistan (a s other commentrators wrote). I guess what we need instead of Earth Hour, fora to explore potential of Pakistan in alternative energy sources. I wonder WWF is thinking in this direction as well.
