RAWALPINDI, March 30: A hawker was killed while his colleague was injured after their motorcycle crashed into a footpath at Rehmanabad on Friday, police said.

Umair Javaid, 21, and Rehan Faraz, 16, were going towards Rawal Road when they met the accident. They were found lying on the road by some passersby who informed Rescue 1122.

They were shifted to Benazir Bhutto Hospital where Rehan died.

According to police, “apparently it looked as if the riders lost control over the bike's steering after they hit cat's eyes on the road”, the investigating officer said.—Staff Reporter
