LAHORE, March 18: The corpses of two men were found in the portion of a Gulistan Colony house of Shadbagh area on Sunday.

Police said the victims believed to be in mid-20s were found murdered at the rented portion of Liaqat’s house.

Shadbagh police said that Liaqat had rented out the portion to a family consisting of a young man, two women and as many children through a property dealer Farman.

The family paid a Rs10,000 advance rent to the property dealer on Thursday last and got the possession, saying that they would submit identity cards later. They were last seen in the house on Saturday.

On Sunday morning, Liaqat noticed no activity in the portion and found tub water red with blood and bloodstains on the walls. He alerted property dealer Farman and called police. They found two bodies under the washbasin.

Police said victims’ throats were found slit open.

Police took 60-year-old property dealer Farman into custody for not collecting identity documents from the tenants. Forensic experts collected finger-prints from the pot.

A police official said police were still clueless into the blind murders and it appeared that the suspects acquired the rented portion to dump the bodies.

DIES: A 45-year-old woman, who was shot and wounded by three robbers at her house near Machis Factory in Shahdara on Saturday last, succumbed to her wounds at Mayo Hospital on Sunday.

Shahdara police said Bashiran Bibi was admitted to the hospital with her two injured daughters. Bashiran’s third daughter identified as Humaira was also killed in the incident.

According to complainant Muhammad Din Chaudhry, three gunmen entered his house late on Saturday and his wife who was up to offer prayers raised alarm after seeing them. He said he and his four daughters also rushed to the courtyard.

The suspects opened fire at the family leaving his wife Bashiran and three daughters injured.

Police registered a case under sections 302 (punishment of qatl-i-amd), 394 (voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery), 460 (persons jointly concerned in lurking house-trespass or house breaking by night punishable for qatl or hurt) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

FOUND MURDERED: A 30-year-old driver was found murdered in a graveyard in Fatehgarh of Harbanspura on Sunday.

Harbanspura police identified the victim Muhammad Akram, of Chah Hazaran Fatehgarh.

Police said the victim was attacked with sharp-edged weapons by unidentified suspect(s.

Police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy and registered a case.

ACCIDENT: A four-year-old girl was killed and four family members suffered injuries after two youngsters driving their car hit a motorcycle near Taj Bagh Bridge early on Sunday.

The suspects fled the scene while police impounded the car.

Ghaziabad police said Asif was going on a motorcycle with his wife Uzma Shahzadi, daughter Alisha, sister Naseem and nephew Ali Raza at the time of the incident.

Police said the injured were rushed to a local hospital where Sonia succumbed to her wounds.

Police registered a case against absconders and launched efforts to trace the suspects with the help of impounded vehicle.
