ORAKZAI: At least eight militants were killed and several injured on Saturday in the latest air strikes by security forces , DawnNews reported.

At least 40 militants have been killed by the security forces in the last 12 hours in the tribal areas of Pakistan

According to the security agency sources, 23 militants were killed in different strikes in the areas of Samaa Bazaar, Toor Semath, Kagu Qamar, Mamuzi, Jabba, and Balaras of Orakzai agency.

Three bases of the militants in Orakzai have been destroyed, sources informed.

In Kurram agency in similar shelling incidents, 15 militants were killed.

Meanwhile in South Waziristan, a security check post was attacked by the militants resulting in the casualties of four civilians.

Four militants were also killed in response by the security forces.
