ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court on Thursday resumed hearing the case pertaining to contempt of court charges against former law minister Babar Awan, DawnNews reported.

The hearing was adjourned till March 8.

A two-member SC bench comprising Justice Athar Saeed Sheikh and Justice Aijaz Afzal was hearing the case.

During the hearing, the video of Awan’s press conference held at the Press Information Department was shown.

Justice Athar Saeed said to Awan that he was a senior lawyer due to which protection of ethical and moral values were expected from him.

The court will decide in the next hearing whether to issue a notice of reason to Awan or not.
