QUETTA: A young resident of Noshki, who remained missing for a month and a half, returned home on Monday.

Mahazullah, son of Ghulam Mengal, lives in Gharibabad, a small village on the outskirts of Noshki town.

Family sources said Mahazullah was safe and sound, adding that he was taken away by intelligence personnel in January.

Five people who went missing in Gwadar, Mand and Noshki over the past several months have been released during the week. A report put the number of ‘freed’ men at 10.

Miners killed: Four workers died in a coalmine in Loralai district on Monday night.

Sources said the miners had fallen unconscious inside the mine in the Chamalang coalfield because of presence of poisonous gas and died before any medical aid could reach there.

Rescue teams recovered the bodies. One victim – Mohammad Zahir Khan – hailed from Harnai while Wali Jan, Musa Khan and Nasibullah were from Afghanistan, the sources said.
