Anchors and rating

Published February 20, 2012

POLITICAL and social discussions on many TV shows have become boring. Anchors of these shows exploit a topic beyond measure as the discussion sometimes tends to digress from the topic of the show.

The better ratings craze seems to govern the mentality of TV anchors and their claim to provide information to the public seems deceptive. While some anchors run after the public to force their opinion, others end up stressing the already known fact that our system is corrupt.

How should a change be brought about? This should be the focus of such shows. There are many people in this country who are working hard and have the will to make this country better. Why not show such people and let positivity prevail? The idea of a TV talk show should be providing information to the public and not exploiting issues and creating a bias by forcing an opinion.
