QUETTA, Feb 16: Two bomb explosions rocked Quetta and Sibi on Thursday.

An explosion in front of the excise and taxation department’s office on Sariab Road smashed its windows and damaged a car.

The private residence of Balochistan Governor Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi is about 200 yards from the place where the bomb exploded.

Late in the night, a powerful explosion rocked Sibi town.  Police said an explosive device was detonated outside the local stadium where fireworks were about to start in connection with the Sibi festival.

A police official said the explosion at a gate of the stadium did not cause any damage.

Meanwhile, a landmine found on a road in Kohlu was defused.

In another incident, law-enforcement personnel seized explosives concealed in a truck and arrested three people in Chaman.
