ISLAMABAD: Mother’s love made a woman jump after her little son into a well in Kural suburbs of Islamabad on Wednesday and save him.

People who saw her jumping in, with the help of Rescue 1122, pulled both of them out. Fortunately the mother and her four-year-old son suffered just bruises.

The police said Mohammad Aqeeb was plying in the courtyard of the school where his mother, Robina Bibi, 40 was busy in her work.

While playing around, he went closure to the well located in the courtyard and all of sudden fell in it. His screams caught attention of his mother who rushed to the well and saw her son falling. Without thinking of result, she jumped too in the well to rescue her son.

The other employee of the school saw her jumping in rushed to rescue them.

A man brought a rope and coiled it to the waist and went into the well. While hanging with the rope he helped the woman and her son to remain at the surface of the water.

In the meantime, the police and Rescue-1122 reached and started rescue works and fished out all of them.

The rescue workers gave first aid to the woman and her son and later shifted them to hospital from where they were discharged after receiving medical assistance.

The police said that the well was deep and carrying water, but the woman and her son survived luckily due to timely response of other staff members of the school.
