LAHORE, Feb 15: An iron scrap trader was shot dead by his rivals outside his godown in Chah Meeran locality of Shadbagh on Wednesday.

Shadbagh police said 60-year-old Lal Din was sitting at a charpoy outside his business place when his rival Bahadara reached there along with his accomplices, injured him in shooting and escaped.

Lal was later pronounced dead at hospital. Police said both sides developed enmity over some issues and lodged several FIRs against each other.

Police have registered a case on the complaint of victim’s son Zubair and started investigation.

FOUND MURDERED: A filling station manager was found shot dead at a room at his workplace on Kala Khitai Road on Wednesday.

Shahdara Town police said 25-year-old Shahid Abbas of Sargodha went to his private room at the filling station and was found murdered by other staff in the morning.

Police seized the victim’s cell and some cash from the room and shifted the body for autopsy. Police said as no body saw the suspects and the family didn’t show suspicion, the murder was being treated as blind.
