PESHAWAR, Feb 8: The Awami National Party has nominated six candidates for the upcoming Senate election.

According to the ANP press release on Wednesday, for general seats the party has nominated Mohammad Azam Khan Hoti, Baz Muhammad Khan advocate and Shahi Syed, while ticket for technocrat seat has been awarded to Ilyas Ahmed Bilour.

In this regard, a meeting presided over by Afrasiab Khattak, chairman parliamentary board, also nominated Ms Zahida Khan for women seat and Amar Jeet Malhotra for minority seat. The party would announce names of other candidates after consultation with other parties, said the party statement.—Bureau Report
