It is to mention here that the water reservoir constructed for the 18MW Naltar power project had developed cracks a week earlier.

Officials said the crack was repaired, but again the same fault surfaced due to which the power station stopped functioning.

The authorities of water and power department said work for fixing the fault was being carried out by the engineers and as soon as it was done electricity to the affected areas would be restored.

An inexperienced LHV reportedly carried out operation on the   woman, Shehzadi Khalid, who gave birth to a baby girl, leading to severe complications and her death.

Mr Khalid Hussain, husband of the woman, said there was no doctor in the hospital. He said he made several calls to the director health and medical superintendent of the hospital but his calls went unattended. He said the oxygen cylinder at the ward was also empty.
