KARACHI, Feb 4: A sparkling century by Farrukh Rizvi and a grand all-round performance from Shaafat Hussain helped Al-Noor Gymkhana qualify for the KCCA Abdul Dyer cricket tournament quarter-finals with a thumping 208-run victory over Sir Syed CC at the Nazir Hussain Ground here on Friday.

Farrukh smashed 146 off 107 balls with the aid of eight fours and seven sixes, while adding 137 for the first wicket with Shaafat who slammed six fours and two sixes in a 59-ball 76 as Al-Noor Gymkhana collected a massive 310-5 in their stipulated 40 overs.

Shaafat then captured four wickets for 41 runs with his medium-pacers as Sir Syed CC were bundled out for 102 in the 18th over.

Nazimabad Gymkhana also reached the last-eight segment of the tournament with a three-wicket defeat of Landhi Friends at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground

Meanwhile in another match played at the Punjab CC Ground, Faisal Gymkhana edged past Rangers CC by 30 runs.
