PESHAWAR, Nov 30: In this modern era, the residents of Kaniguram, a town in South Waziristan Agency are still deprived of their basic right — education, where for a population of 60,000 was without a girls primary or middle school.

The world organizations are striving hard to improve the life of women all over the world but women in Fata were being denied their basic rights.

The residents of Kaniguram in a letter to the press club have appealed to the governor, Corps Commander and education department to look into their problems.

They said, lack of education facilities was the major cause of backwardness in the tribal belt.

The letter received by the Kaniguram Press Club was an indication of how anxious were women to get educated. —APP
