LAHORE, Feb 1: Robbers looted cash and valuables worth Rs2.5 million during four house robberies in the city on Wednesday.

Sohail told Hanjarwal police four armed men stormed into his house in Ittefaq Colony, held hostage family members and fled after looting cash, ornaments and other valuables worth Rs1.2 million.

Four robbers burst into the house of Ishtiaq in the limits of the Samanabad police station and took away cash and valuables worth Rs800,000.

Three robbers barged in the house of Safia in Mughalpura police jurisdiction and looted cash and valuables worth Rs200,000.

Some robbers entered the house of Imran in Gulshan Ravi and looted cash and valuables worth Rs300,000.

Two armed men stopped Shakeel in Shahdara and deprived him of Rs20,000 in cash, a cell phone and his motorcycle while as many robbers intercepted Mushtaq in Nishtar Colony and robbed him of Rs10,000 in cash, a cell phone and his motorcycle.

Two gun-toting men approached the family of Naveed in Factory Area and snatched from them cash and valuables worth Rs200,000.

Two robbers stopped the family of Akbar in Nishtar Colony and looted cash and valuables worth Rs200,000.
