KARACHI, Oct 9: The special anti-narcotics court, headed by Judge Ali Nawaz Pirzada, sentenced on Tuesday a young Polish woman to a seven-year term for attempting to smuggle contraband heroin.

Agniaszka Sadouska, 22, was arrested on Aug 22 at the Airport by the Customs, who seized 2.5 kgs heroin from her.

The woman, who had concealed the contraband drug in the false bottom of her suitcase, was also fined Rs10,000. The judge ordered that the woman drug trafficker would have to undergo an additional three-month term in case of default on the payment.

She had reached the airport to board a Dubai-bound flight of the PIA. The court also ordered that the woman be provided a better class.

The same court sentenced a local drug pusher to suffer rigorous imprisonment for three years and pay a fine of Rs10,000.
